"For I know the plans I have for you", declares the Lord, "plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope". Jeremiah 29:11
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble". Matthew 6:28b-34
I am a Christian farm girl, married to Kelvin. We have an organic farm which produces field crops and maple syrup. We have a large garden, a cow we milk by hand, four horses, a handful of chickens, barn cats and a beautiful dog named Trixie Anne. I am a Registered Nurse and I work on a local medical/surgical unit as a per diem nurse. I enjoy sewing, quilting, photography, and being the best Aunt-in-the-whole-world to our ten nieces and nephews. I struggle with keeping the house clean, helping with firewood and washing dishes. I also struggle with serving the Lord with a pure and trusting heart in tumultuous times. We lost two sons, Gabriel and Emanuel at birth in 2008 and were blessed with a healthy daughter Madeline in February of 2011.
The goal of this blog is to show myself and others that life is purposeful and full of good things from the Lord; He is carrying out a beautiful plan for me and He loves me!
